"Charged Wireless" Toshiba's Android Tablet

Last month I posted a weather proof Android phone. Now what we have is a Waterproof Tablet from Toshiba. Nothing special, they just managed to submerged the tablet underwater and played a movie while charging.

Yes “while charging”, HOW did they managed to charged it wireless?

I doubt, who wants to charge under water if there's no signal but the idea is wireless...

Curious how?

Few years back, developers already have this kind of non-publicized technology. Some called it Inductive Charging, a short-distance wireless energy transfer. Usually done between 2 devices by the used of electromagnetic field to transfer energy from one to another.

For the Toshiba Tablet, yes the tablet is inside the aquarium filled with water but the charger is outside and only needs 1 to 3 inches away from the tablet so it can transfer energy to charged the device. Sneaky huh?

Toshiba did not give any details about the Tablet yet but the idea of waterproof and can charge wireless is one good technology.

Mobile and laptop Manufacturers are now in a race to have the advancement to their products, this is a sure boost. In fact, Apple submitted a patent of entitled "Wireless power utilization in a local computing environment" last June 2011 with a range of 1 meter far.

"The audio quality of the video is poor but hope you got the whole point"
